I was 14 that day. Keith and I had been friends since i was 13. I photographed him during one afternoon, during which he produced works for an upcoming exhibition. I used two 36-frame rolls of film.
Those images have remained in a cigar box throughout the year, following me from house to house, and allowing the whole lot to remain as a whole. Had i shot those images with a digital camera, it is very likely that i would have lost those files en route.
This is a documentation of Keith Haring's work process in his New York studio, and a testimony of our friendship.
